Steve Cole is co-founder and Managing Director of Net Primates Limited.
Steve has been working in the data and voice sector for over 14 years. Previously with an Business ISP in Southampton, his main responsibilities to date have included network design, pre & post sales technical support, consultancy, project management and network / IT relocations.
Key Accomplishments
- Project managed a successful migration of the 1st Line Technical Support function from the HQ to a London based call centre.
- Design, installed and commissioned an ISP backbone terminating ADSL, Dial and MPLS customers.
- Designed, installed and commissioned an MPLS backbone throughout the UK utilising BT’s IP Clear network for a leading bank.
- Designed, installed and commissioned a MPLS backbone utilising Cisco Catalyst 6500’s
- Project managed and implemented an ISP relocation including multiple Datacentres and Offices
- Designed, installed, commissioned and supported a multi-site backbone utilising BT’s IPClear and Framestream networks.
- Provided consultancy and support to a leading UK training organistation.
- Management of the NOC (Network Operation Centre) environment including escalation and fault management.
- Support of all levels including 1st, 2nd and 3rd Line
In his spare time Steve has two big passions – Motorsport Marshalling and Geocaching. On a race weekend Steve gets suited and booted into Orange and can be seen running to a car that has had an accident, broken down or is on fire! Marshalling has taken him to events such as the Goodwood Festival of Speed, British Touring Cars, DTM, Formula 1 in the UK and Abu Dhabi and World Touring Cars. Steve can sometimes be spotted on International TV, the BBC, Sky Sports and ITV Sports. When he isn’t marshalling Steve spends his spare time Geocaching, he can be found walking miles in the countryside to locate a Ammo box all with the aid of a GPS unit!
