Net Primates have just completed the installation of their new MonkeySpot wireless hotspot system into the Royal Exeter Hotel in Bournemouth, just in time for the annual Labour Party Conference.

The system is controlled by the MonkeySpot box which controls all access giving the Hotel the option to offer Free or Chargeble Internet access via time controlled vouchers.

"We had the solution up and running within 1 Day" comments Steve Cole, Director of Net Primates. "We completed a site survey on the Friday morning, received the order on the Friday afternoon and had the installation completed on the following Wednesday. Net Primates is now able to offer lower cost calling along with reduced line rental charges (12-01-2007)

Following our recent alliance with a local VoIP provider, Net Primates Limited a dynamic and innovative IT consultancy company based in Southampton, UK are now able to offer Carrier Pre Select & Wholesale Line Rental.

Carrier Pre-Selection

Carrier Pre-Selection (CPS) allows you to choose which telecommunications provider you want to carry your voice calls. There is no inconvenience involved with CPS, no autodiallers, manual prefixing or PBX reprogramming; you keep your existing phone numbers and continue to make calls as usual.

Carrier Pre-Selection uses network access technology, so traffic originating from your site will be routed directly through our network with no need for prefix codes. The "selection" of the preferred provider is done automatically at point of entry (the local exchange) to the public voice network.

It takes approximately 10 working days to apply your cheaper telephony rates to your numbers. You will not experience any disruption with your telephony.

Wholesale Line Rental

Wholesale Line Rental (WLR) allows alternative suppliers, such as Net Primates to rent access lines on wholesale terms from BT, and resell the lines to customers, providing a single bill that covers both line rental and telephone calls. It was introduced to develop competition within the telecoms markets in the UK.

BT's line maintenance division BT Openreach will still manage faults and undertake installations for the physical phone line, Net Primates just bill you for it. Your phone number will remain the same and you will simply receive an itemised bill from Net Primates instead of BT for your PSTN and ISDN line rentals.
