Voice Exchange is a fully white-labelled feature-rich IP-based telephony service designed for both the small office and home office. It enables partners, business administrators and users to fully administer and control its telephony system through an easy to use on-line control panel. Voice Exchange offers a full range of features that can often only be found in more expensive traditional PBX systems.
Unlike a traditional PBX system, Voice Exchange is accessible at anytime anywhere in the world provided a suitable broadband internet connection is available. If you are away from your handset, calls can be automatically forwarded to a your chosen destination. If you are unable to take a call, voicemail can handle the call and any message can be automatically emailed to your inbox and a SMS notification sent to your mobile phone.
Voice Exchange can be provided via a wide selection of handsets. The hardware comes pre-configured and delivered ready to use.
How does it work?
In this example, ABC Company has three locations. These could be either offices or home workers with a live Broadband connection
Our Main Office based in Southampton has 4 employees who are each using the Linksys SPA941 handset. These phones are connected to the Local Area Network (LAN) and connect to the Internet via the office broadband connection.
Home Worker A is based from a home office in Blackpool and has a Linksys SPA941 handset connected via their broadband connection.
Home Worker B only works from their home on an occasional basis. This user has an Siemens S450IP connected to their broadband router, this user also uses the unit as their home phone via the base stations PSTN interface.
At both locations, each phone has a dedicated UK geographic number (0207 987 6543) which can make and receive calls. Each phone also has an internal extension number (eg. 101). Company employees can call each other by their extensions, transfer calls and any calls between any users are free.
