We’re proud to share that our very own Isuru has recently become a certified ThreatLocker Cyber Hero. This achievement marks another step in his continual professional development and further strengthens the cyber security services we provide to our clients.

What is ThreatLocker?

ThreatLocker is an endpoint security solution designed to protect devices by blocking everything except what is explicitly permitted. Instead of relying on traditional “allow unless blocked” models, it flips the approach to “block everything, allow only what’s required.”

Isuru’s training covered ThreatLocker’s different modules — from application and network controls to storage and configuration management. These tools make it possible to secure client endpoints with highly detailed policies, controlling which apps can run, how they interact with files, and even how they access the internet.

Why it matters for clients

Cyber criminals are constantly searching for ways into business systems. ThreatLocker helps stop them at the door by ensuring only trusted applications and actions are allowed. As part of our Cyber Protection Suite — a set of cloud-based solutions for endpoint security — ThreatLocker plays a crucial role in keeping client environments safe.

Isuru’s expertise means he can fine-tune ThreatLocker policies to balance security with usability. From reviewing daily application requests to ringfencing apps so they can’t interact in unsafe ways, his work ensures our clients enjoy strong protection without sacrificing efficiency. In practice, this means businesses can get on with their day-to-day operations while knowing their endpoints are as secure as possible.

Always learning, always improving

Isuru’s ThreatLocker certification is just the beginning. With encouragement and support from Chris (Technical Manager, Net Primates), he has also recently completed:

  • ConnectWise RMM Certified Expert
  • ConnectWise RMM Certified Professional
  • HelpDesk Habits Certification

And he’s not stopping there. Upcoming plans include Microsoft certifications in Microsoft 365 service management, endpoint management, and cloud security, as well as a WatchGuard certification in firewall configuration and management.

A big step forward

At Net Primates, continual development is part of our culture — and Isuru’s commitment to learning is a great example of how we keep improving the service we deliver. His expertise with ThreatLocker means our clients benefit from enhanced endpoint security, tailored protection policies, and the peace of mind that comes with knowing their systems are in safe hands.
