We’re delighted to share some exciting news — Net Primates’ Managing Director, Steve Cole, has been shortlisted for the University of Southampton Business School Award for Entrepreneur of the Year at the New Forest Brilliance in Business Awards 2025

This award recognises “the contribution of a dynamic, creative and visionary leader… an enterprising individual who has steered their business to success through a culture of innovation, resilience, a dedication to being the best and an ethos of inspiring others.”

Steve is one of just three finalists, alongside Emily Beck (The Build Purser) and Louise Seager (The Inspiration Agency) — a fantastic line-up of business leaders representing the best of the local entrepreneurial community.

The nomination reflects Steve’s continued drive to build a business that delivers innovation, encourages collaboration, and supports other local organisations in strengthening their digital resilience. Under his leadership, Net Primates has become recognised not just for outstanding IT support, but for helping clients navigate an increasingly complex cyber security landscape.

Reflecting on his nomination Steve said, “I’m delighted to be shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year. This recognition isn’t just about me — it reflects the hard work, innovation, and dedication of the entire Net Primates team. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together and the difference we continue to make for our clients.”

We also loved receiving this message from Rhia at the New Forest Brilliance in Business Awards team:

“Congratulations on being shortlisted for the Award for Entrepreneur of the Year! This is a fantastic achievement, and you should be incredibly proud of the amazing work you’ve done.”

The New Forest Brilliance in Business Awards have celebrated local enterprise for the past 20 years, recognising businesses and individuals who make an outstanding contribution to the region. Winners from each category are also considered for the overall New Forest Business of the Year Award.

Being shortlisted is already an achievement in itself — and a well-deserved recognition of Steve’s dedication to building a business that combines technical expertise with a genuine commitment to helping others succeed.

Congratulations, Steve, and good luck for the final awards ceremony!
